D&D inspired Art Served Up as Collectible Drink Coasters

Latest Updates from Our Project:

My New Collectible Drink Coaster Art Project, "At the Mountains of Madness", Ending Soon!!
over 2 years ago – Sun, Nov 28, 2021 at 09:50:59 PM

Hello Everyone, In case you missed a notification about my latest Lovecraftian-themed drink coaster project here on Kickstarter, I thought I'd give you all a heads-up that it's ending soon!

My project is ending on November 30, at 3 AM EST.

In this new project, my art is based on his story, "At the Mountains of Madness".

For those of you unfamiliar with the story of “At the Mountains of Madness", it is a strange tale of an Antarctic expedition gone wrong, terribly wrong.

I portrayed two members of the expedition team, young Gedney and one of the sled dogs, escaping into an ice-rimmed cave while they are being pursued by an ancient creature awakened during an autopsy...

"At the mountains of Madness" Lovecraft-inspired collectible drink coaster number 6 in a series.

This is my 7th Kickstarter project, and 8th collectible art coaster.

Here are the first 5 Lovcraftian-themed art drink coasters, in case  you missed any of them:

Owlbear and Kobold, my other two art coasters seen below, are my first D&D inspired coasters, and are found HERE on Kickstarter also. You can order one or both, or any mix of all of my 7 previous designs through the link to my Backerkit Store on their Kickstarter project pages!

You can also jump directly to my BackerKit Store by clicking HERE.

My first D&D collectible art drink coaster project: Owlbear and Kobold designs.

Please take a look at my latest coaster art project here on Kickstarter, "At the Mountains of Madness",  and show it some love!

By ordering through Kickstarter, you get the lowest price and shipping.

You pay Kickstarter at the end of the project, and then take your survey through BackerKit in order to let me know which coaster designs you want.

I will not have any of this info unless you fill out your BackerKit survey after the Kickstarter ends.

I'm using BackerKit as the pledge-manager again, and this time I will be collecting the shipping fee via BackerKit also.

It's the usual $1 per No.10 envelope for US backers, and $2 per envelope for International backers.

Each No.10 envelope holds 4 coasters. They are mailed USPS First Class and have special postage to cover Non-Machinable processing, which means that they are hand-canceled and do not go through a sorting machine.

Thank you and hope you'll stop by to check out my new KS project, "At the Mountains of Madness", before it ends!

Best Regards,

TOM

Last of the packages shipped out Saturday Nov 6!
over 2 years ago – Sun, Nov 07, 2021 at 09:49:16 PM

Thanks again for your support of my D&D art project! More coming very soon!

Last boxes shipped out on Saturday, Nov 6.

I'm glad to say I shipped out the last of the packages yesterday! All packages get a tracking number from the US Post Office, so you should have gotten an email automatically after I shipped them out. (The packages do not come with insurance though, but I will be offering that next time. So far, all the 100’s of packages I've shipped over all six Kickstarter's have arrived safely).

I'm now doing the set-up for my next Cthulhu/Lovecraft-inspired art coaster here on Kickstarter. Hopeful to launch in a few days from now, and I'm sketching-up concept art for the next couple D&D art coasters also!

For those of you who like the Lovecraft/Cthulhu theme, here's a sneak-peek at a sample of one of my T-Shirt designs that I just got in. Hopskatonic Pale Ale design. (and nope, that's not me modeling it. :D)

Hopskatonic T-shirt printed on black 100% soft cotton. Model is 6’5” tall and wearing XL.
Here are some close-ups. This company captures great detail. Art is almost 14 inches across!

I'm Still ordering samples from other companies to see quality, price, fit and the best way to order them. (In bulk to me, and then ship them out again, or drop-ship directly to Backers?).

I'd prefer to inspect each T-shirt before I ship them out, and also combine them with coaster orders, etc. That's what I have to work out the details of.

More coming soon!

More D&D coasters were shipped out! But still a little more to go!

Hello Backers!

I got out most of the orders, and forgot to post some photos of my prep and packing process.

I still have some to go, but I'm working on them and will update each backer's order shipping status as I ship them out. (You can check that in your Kickstarter account page under this project's info page.)

Top: Left: Packing the coasters in their protective sleeves. I cut and fit each one by hand. Top Right: Going through the piles and checking the orders off on the spreadsheets. Bottom Left: One of many filled-up Postal bins. Bottom Right: Several bins in my car’s trunk ready to go to the Post office again!

Thank you all again for supporting my art project!

Please note: If your pledge consisted of multiple envelopes, they may not all arrive on the same day.

This is not uncommon to international orders, since the US Post office ships out millions of pieces of mail every day, and my envelopes to you are all mixed in with those. : )

Then they have to get sorted again in your country by your post offices, and find their way to you.

The process is truly amazing.

Thanks again!

Tom

Update #8 - I got the coasters in!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Oct 21, 2021 at 10:18:10 PM

Just a quick Update here to let you know that I have received my order of coasters and they look great!

Update #8. Boxes of Owlbear & Kobold Coasters delivered to me!

Next, I'll be sorting out all the spreadsheets and printing box labels and envelopes, and sorting and packing over 1,500 Owlbears and Kobolds and Cthulhu collectible art drink coasters into their respective boxes and sleeves over the next few days, and applying loads of postage!

I'll keep you posted of my progress as I make this happen, so you'll have an idea as when to expect your own delivery.

The boxed orders will have a tracking number (not the envelopes), as usual.

* I will be mailing some USA Backer's orders, who had added enough Add-Ons in BackerKit to their original Kickstarter Pledge, in a small box (with tracking), so that you get them all-at-once, instead of a whole bunch of envelopes that may not come at the same time simply due to the mail delivery process.

You will be notified by email and get a tracking number for your box at that time, if you are getting a box instead of many envelopes.

Please remember, some US Backers had pledged to get their orders (of 16 coasters) in:

Four - No.10 size envelopes, instead of a box (even though it ends up being the same price).

* BUT, if the Backer had added Add-Ons to their order, in BackerKit when doing their survey, the new, LARGER order of coasters will be mailed in a small box.

As always, I mail all envelopes and boxes that go to the same address, on the same day, together, but you may not receive all envelopes on the exact same day.

I have no control of the mail delivery, and since millions of pieces of mail go through the US Post Office system every single day, envelopes mailed together on the same day can sometimes come to you on different days.

This is not uncommon for International delivery, and happens on occasion.

Please leave me a message through the Kickstarter message system if you have any questions.

I may not see it if you ask a question in the Comments or Update sections.

Thank you ALL again for your support of my art project!!

When Orders will be locked with final notice, and 5 Backers need to complete Surveys.
over 2 years ago – Sat, Oct 09, 2021 at 09:41:29 PM

Hi D&D Coaster Backers!

This update is to let you know that we are another step along the way to getting the D&D coasters made!

I've just ordered the coasters and I will keep you posted as to when I get them.

Today, Saturday, Oct 9, I'm initiating the "Lock Orders" with final notice step, in BackerKit.

This step, if you are unfamiliar with it, will give all my Backers enough time to make any last minute changes to their orders. (You can still add Add-Ons here in BackerKit until then!).

Add-Ons of both Owlbear & Kobold coasters, AND all 5 previous Lovecraft/Cthulhu Coasters:

Add-Ons Sill Available! Cthulhu Honey Mead, Cthulhu Hopskatonic, Cthulhu Reckoning, Cthulhu R’Lyeh, Deep Ones Innsmouth

Backers will receive an email notifying them of the Lock Orders notice also.

** After 48 hours, all orders will be automatically locked. **

Next, a few days before shipping, addresses will be locked.

Also, I still need surveys from 5 Backers who have not completed them.

Backer #'s: 58, 78, 125, 162 and 165.

The survey the only way I will be able to confirm your orders and get your shipping name and addresses.

If you are having trouble with your survey, please contact me through Kickstarter message service.

My Pre-Order Store on BackerKit is open for anyone who missed the Kickstarter and still wants to order any of the 7 designs. The link is HERE and on the project page as a bright red button at top-right.

Have a great weekend,

I've got lots more new D&D and Cthulhu art to do, so back to the old drawing board for me!

Best regards,

TOM
